Mr. Will Lollie is back with yet another killer episode of stories from his travels as he sits down with Nick for a few hours and you all get to hear it. It's a lot about being in Japan, but you know when these two get together you're going to hear about all kinds of great tattooing and everything in between. It's a great one.

Here we go again with the NLJBS Hotline. Thank you to everyone who called Nick on this one and shared stories and information. It's another great one with some excellent tales from the world of tattooing and some fun questions. There's also some important information we want to share with our listeners as well, so please check it out. And stick around for Shop Talk with Porter and Andrew joining the show to fill you in on some really cool art.

By now we've heard from several of the Civilization crew out of Richmond and the infamous unreleased episode that was. Or was not. Well, now it's time for Mr. John Setzer to step up and recall those events and much more with Nick. As one of the more cognizant members of the aforementioned event, he and Nick have a good laugh and even play some bits of the episode. Add to that some amazing history of coming up in shops and family acceptance to doing the convention circuit and all that comes with those things. Don't miss this one.

Jul 25, 2023

While in California for the Sacramento Capital City Tattoo Convention, Nick got a chance to sit down for a few hours with the legend Corey Miller and it's exactly what you'd expect from two people who love tattooing as much as these guys. So many great stories and discussions throughout the last thirty years of shops and tattoos on the west coast and just everything you can imagine in between. You don't want to miss this one. Check out Six Feet Under, Corey's shop in Upland, CA and let him know how much you appreciate the history recorded on this episode.

The second of the podcasts Nick recorded while out in Sacramento, CA is another great one. Beau Brady has worked all over the place as you'll find out when you listen to this week's epiisode.  Every time Beau starts getting restless wherever he's at, he travels somewhere. So he's done a lot of it. And when you hear the places he goes, it's no wonder he has become one of the greats. Don't miss this talk as you hear about how the paths followed by Beau and by Nick have crossed throughout the years.

Just before the convention in Sacramento, Nick and Josh pick up Andrew and Richie and head immediately over to San Francisco to Tattoo City, the legendary shop owned by Ed Hardy. There, Nick had the honor to sit down with Doug Hardy and record and it's everything you want it to be. This is a great one talking about some excellent tattoo history. Do not miss it.

Having done a few episodes of the show in the past, it has been a long while since we have heard from master wet-on-wet painter extraordinaire Mr. Andy Sherman. Well, he recently popped by the NLJBS studios to hang out with Nick and discuss all kind o' stuff. Classic food, music, art and country life stuff that we all love about these dudes. It's a great one you won't want to miss, especially since we're about to hit you with three straight tattoo greats in a row after this. Keep listening.

Back in the city again, Nick got the opportunity to record the room at King's Ave in New York for the release of the new book by Tribal Publishing called "In the Shadows" about the history of underground NY tattooing and all of the people and stories around it. Hosted by Patrick Kitzel of Tribal, this event was attended by a who's who of the tattoo world. Nick was able to record a few guests before capturing the speakers who talked about some of what went into the creation of the book. Clayton Knowles was the man who put it all together and  you get to hear some of his thoughts, as well as Mehi Bakaty who has done some amazing work documenting tattoo history. It's a great one with some crazy sounds in the background, but worth the listen. Plus, there's a Shop Talk with Porter & Andrew and you can never go wrong hangin' with the boys.

May 2, 2023

All the way from Petaluma Tattoo in California near San Francisco, Mr. Nick Rodin stops by Alley Cat Tattoo to hang out and record an episode with Nick. It's a lot of fun to hear all the stories between these two.

After a wild trip to Civilization Tattoo in Richmond recently that led to an as of yet unreleased podcast, Nick told the guys that they better do somethin' to redeem themselves. Well, Mr. Jon Sanford stepped up to the plate and came up to Alley Cat to record and the one and only Adam Martin came with him to tattoo and also join in on the fun about two thirds of the way through. It's a fun one with a ton of tattoo talk. Take it in y'all.

Apr 11, 2023

Apr 4, 2023

While in Richmond to visit Absolute Art, Nick got the chance to sit down with Chad Chesko for this episode. Jason Hobbie, Brian Bruno and Jake Hockman are hanging out as well, and for a good portion of the conversation, Chad is tattooing Jake and you can definitely hear it. Hopefully, it'll just make it feel like you're hanging out at the shop with them and it won't bother you. It is pretty loud, though. The talk is worth it, though. So check it out and enjoy.

This is a detailed layin' down of the stories around the most recent two trips to NYC that Nick took, one with Chris "Big Tats" Porter and the other with Jake "Rookie" Hockman. It's a big long hangout detailing all of the characters and locations that were visited on these two recent epic travels and all of the mystery and history surrounding them. Just a fun hangout at the NLJBS studios located right next door to the one and only Alley Cat Tattoo in Harrisonburg, Virginia. There's a killer shop talk attached as well and throughout these kickass three hours or more you'll also get to hear from the workhorse Richie Stutler and the man who needs no introduction: Andrew Conner.
